Yes, it is true, it is impossible to survive on the web this days without a google translate as you never know what page you gonna run into - can be chinese, english, turkish, japanies, hindi, serbian, french, spanish, italian, etc...
Translations are far from perfect, but still, a free tool online tool, which gives you a good feeling of the text is about...
Can't survive on the web this days without the tool like Google translate
Should we listen to Google when it comes to SEO? I am not 100% sure
Just got an interesting email from a friend.
She advised to try next simple experiment:
1. Go to Google.com
2. Type in ”Search”
3. Click ”I feel lucky”
See what you get. ;)
And voila. The biggest open source company - as they call them selves - doesn't now how to optimize their own search website in order to get first place in search results.
Small reminder: "I feel lucky" returns you the first search result!
If you go for the full search, you will find that Google.com is only at the 7th place.
Unexpected?
What does it mean?
Are other search engines better at Google SEO, or more suitable products, or something else?

Effective Twitter techniques revealed
1.What is twitter and few facts on popularity and usefulness?
What is the most buzz word in Blogging world today?
Most definitively it is TWITTER
I've be using twitter for couple of weeks now, and I've found tones of things about it. There are many stories, articles, tools, websites, videos, strategies, etc.
But is really behind it and how it really works?
2. How smart guys use Twitter effectively?
I've notices that 2 of most powerful professional bloggers
[problogger] and [daren edwards]
created new websites www.twitip.com and www.twitterati.com
I was shortly analyzing this websites, when I got the idea why they did it:
Now that the hype is on, and everybody are blogging about twitter, they come, there are billions of same posts, repeating the same things.
And this 2 smart bloggers, came with originality again:
they use their current popularity and authority in the blogosphere to tell all this about:twitter blogger, what to do and what not to do.
So, they are not saying anything new, and any out of the box explanation!
And yes, I call that a fraud!
2. Must do TWITTER things and websites
- Number one robot sites to AUTOMATIZE your twitter activities and handle huge number of twitter messages, followers and actions
- Second useful website is
Good things about this one is that you can see the most popular twitters, number of their followers, etc. You can also find statistics for individual user.
Here is Twitter counter statistics for me:
Top popular are:
And for some interesting bots:
- An Indian guy working hard for MindValley Labs, made interesting videos on how to earn 10k USD via twitter in one day. He had his holly mission, and as video advices, he reached his goal. Check out:
NOTE: Mindvalley is working a lot on marketing and propaganda, and this videos are also part of it. Interesting can be noticed and learned from this resource, starting with the way they've chosen title for this videos, creating the story, and the way they used twitter to create traffic and earn money!
4. Best practices
Due to excessive usage of Twitter, at one point my account got locked. And I had to send some email to support before getting it back. Until today I don't understand why my account was blocked, but I found very weird place to get my account back - getsatisfaction.com
Interesting thing was that this whole story lead me to nice article about auto thanks messages for new twitter followers.
http://getsatisfaction.com/tweetlater/topics/best_practice_for_twitter_auto_thank_you_notes_to_new_followers
best practices on twitter auto reply message
Also, very smart strategy for getting more followers, at least in the beggining, is to locate new twitter users who are very proactive (increasing number of followings and updates and favorites) and then following couple of them.
And hey, don't forget to follow twitter itself
Some more resources of TWITTER Tools, that I will analyze later on, can be found at:

Facebook - fraud, phishing, and online info safety?
Today my Facebook account got phished!
Someone figure my ultra safe password, logged in into my account, made some damage!
Luckily, this was noticed early on, so I was able to login quickly and change my password!

Unfortunatelly, some infos were changed on my profile (interested in, relationship status, status message, ...) And that caused me some headache :(
Anyway, this was HUGE alert for me!
I asked my self:
What personal info should I put online?
Why I put that info online - what good will it make for me?
How safe is putting info online (even if it is basic info, and if it is on facebook)?
Few days back, I realized I had so much important and unique info that I keep on my gmail! Loosing that info would be a very painful for me!
So I started backing it up using Outlook express. That way, I at least have copy of all messages localy on my hdd.
Anyway, this post is just a warning for everyone out there:
Be aware, there are many bad people out there! Handle your data with high caution!
Even professionals like myself can get frauded!
Interesting fact is - that similar thing happened with some twitter accounts.
Some famous twitter's accounts have been reported as hacke!
In near future I will be writing an extended article about Facebook, and business and marketing advantages that it brings. So, stay tuned, and until next reading - think of backing up your online confidential data!

Best ways to bring more traffic to your blog
This are several different techniques that many bloggers use to drive more traffic and to make higher page rank.
1. Go to Forums and talk with other people. That way, you find out what they are interested in, you direct them to your blog so they can find solutions, and eventually their word of mouth increases the process of people that can hear about your blog.
Don't forget to create forum profile and signature, and include a link to your blog! That will automatically create tones of backlinks to your blog, and that counts a lot for your Google page rank!
The same rule goes for:
Google groups
Yahoo groups
Any kind of groups...
2. Write long comments on some very popular blog (i.e. some of the Google's blogs, or problogger, or www.draganvaragic.com , etc.)
Some times (at the very begging of your blogging career) this can and should and will bring some traffic to your blog, especially if you offer good quality and fresh content.
Don't forget, you should write on blogs within same topic as your blog propagates!
3. Use blog networks! Put your blog there, and keep track on your progress!
4. Facebook - friends, groups, and most important: blog networks!
Check out some of the most populars:
Also, don't forget to check out my blog network:
5. Twitter! Nowadays it is a starting point for most professional bloggers!
I already wrote in details how to use twitter effectively!
6. Once you decide to go totally professional into blogging, then a must do is:
Google AdWords!
For cheap money, you can get yourself a great traffic!
I can't claim the same story about Facebook add program, so you will have to try it your self and make your own impression!
7. Friend feed, Digg, Stumble upon, Del.icio.us, Blinklist, Redit, ...
8. Panoramio
If you are writing a blog which relates to some city, or tourism, you can get a lot of traffic just by uploading your pics on Panoramio and/or Google earth.
Especially for the popular places - like I am doing it for Copenhagen, but also for the places where I am traveling to!
With that said, one more add: a must use tool is: www.mapmysite.com
This small peace of javascript code give really powerful effect to your blog!
9. NEWEST
Google search wiki is now live!

I was playing with searching my full name, and for personal use, I got pretty good results. It might be good idea to open several Google accounts and favorite your url.
Eventually, it will make difference on your total page rank!
My theory behind this is that big web companies (facebook, linkedin, yahoo, ms, etc) they have huge number of users, resources, servers, ip addresses, etc. so it makes it a little bit easier for them to create tones of back links and increase page rank for their pages about you. That's one of the main reasons, why I use to find my Facebook of Linked in profile before my home page (which I find more relevant about me then My Facebook profile)
Unfortunately, that is one of the mistakes Google won't be able to fix, as their search will always be as blind as machine is!
But this wiki live search is a fair chance to solve this!
Good luck G!
